A description of the different types of music documents is given, starting with the classification of the annotated ones and followed by the recorded or programmed ones. The definitions given in the manual Reglas de Catalogación have been considered to present and explain the typology of the annotated documents. From a broader, interdisciplinary perspective, of the musician as performer and pedagogue, a series of ideas are submitted, formulated on the basis of the participative observation and correlation with elements from other scientific spheres.
